Transfer Students

Students desiring to transfer credits from an evangelical Bible college or seminary in order to fulfill a portion of their CCJBC elective requirements should have official copies of their transcripts sent to the Registrar at CCJBC, along with a catalog containing the college's Statement of Faith and course descriptions. Transfer students should not assume all Bible courses will transfer. The Registrar makes final decisions after carefully considering each course and comparing it to required coursework at CCJBC.

Other students may wish to transfer to CCJBC with credits from a secular university. If a student has a Bachelor's Degree, Associate's Degree or has had at least two years (60 semester hours) of general education from an approved/accredited college or university with grades of "C" or better, he/she may pursue the Bachelor of Biblical Studies. The general education coursework must be distributed over specific disciplines as follows:
English Composition: 3 semester credits
Humanities: 6 semester credits
Social Sciences: 6 semester credits
Natural and/or Physical Sciences: 6 semester credits
Mathematics and/or Business Science: 3 semester credits
Electives: 36 semester credits
(Electives must be in academic subjects. Courses, which are technical, performance, nonacademic or vocational are not acceptable for transfer, nor are courses below the 100 level that are considered college preparatory or remedial.)

Students interested in transferring 60 semester credits of general education should have official copies of their transcripts sent to the Registrar at CCJBC and request that a complete evaluation be performed. Evaluations are not automatically performed; they are performed by request. If, as a result of the evaluation, the student falls short of the required coursework, he or she can then take the necessary courses at a local community college prior to petitioning for graduation. If you have any questions about the transferability of credits, write to or e-mail:
