The Purpose and Vision of CCBC Jerusalem:

A Letter from Director Mike Harrington

Welcome Students,

We are delighted that you have expressed interest in studying at CCJBC. Making a living is important, but learning how to live is more important. By enrolling at CCJBC you are making a significant choice to invest in your life; as David said in Psalm 4, “You have put gladness in my heart, more than in the season that their grain and wine increased.” Putting God first is the wisest choice we can make in our life. Matthew 6:33-34

You will study under several Calvary Chapel pastor-teachers, who desire to see you grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. It is our purpose here at CCJBC to train up each one in the word of God that you may know the will of God for your life. Paul tells us that it was the word of God that directed him “Commanded him” “to be a light to the Gentiles” (Acts 13:47, Galatians 2:8, I Thessalonians 2:13.) You are going to enjoy in-depth, verse-by-verse Bible studies and learn how to rightly divide the word of truth. I believe that God’s desire for us is to be a light in this world. God will use many things (trials) in our lives to cause us to seek his help that we might manifest the life of Christ in our life.

Mike Harrington
Director of CCBC Jerusalem

We have an unique opportunity to learn God’s word here in Israel. You will experience Israel during the Biblical Feasts of, The Day of Atonement (Yom Kippor), the Feast of Tabernacles and others. While living here in Israel you will learn Jewish culture, traditions and the Hebrew language. This will give you a better understanding of the land of Israel and the Jewish nation. You will also be able to see the various locations of biblical events and where biblical prophecy will be fulfilled. You will live among God’s chosen people and have many opportunities to share the gospel with them here in Jerusalem.

May God give you His heart and may He call, equip, and commission you to be ambassadors for Christ, making disciples of all nations. We, the staff at CCJBC, earnestly pray for you and are pleased to serve you. May you redeem the time and diligently give your whole heart to knowing Christ, studying to show yourself approved unto Him.
  Shalom,
Mike Harrington
