Calvary Chapel Bible
College was founded in 1975 as a short, intensive study program.
It was developed as a part of Calvary Chapel of Costa Mesa's
overall vision to equip the people of God for His service. Throughout
its history, CCBC has remained true to its initial vision: to
provide a place where serious and committed Christians can learn
the Word of God and draw closer to Jesus.
Calvary Chapel Conference Center is located in the Temecula/Murrieta
valley in southern Riverside County. Originally it provided
the source of water used by a Chinese laundry which provided
service to communities along the California Southern Railway.
 |
Murrieta Hot Springs
Resort was built in 1902 and through the early to mid-
1900's it functioned as one of the major resorts in the
United States. The resort attracted clientele from throughout
the world with room, board and use of the facility offered
in 1910 at the then hefty rate of $11 per week.
With classic California style buildings dating back to
the 1920's, the resort was acquired by Calvary Chapel
during May, 1995. Since that time, it has been undergoing
complete restoration of all its buildings and recreational
facilities and has now-been converted into a Christian
Conference Center. |
It is also home of the Calvary Chapel Bible College, which houses
600 students. Among the many attributes of this 47 acre facility
are a full complement of recreational facilities associated
with a resort, including spacious conference rooms, large central
meeting rooms, a formal dining room with seating capacity to
700, a grand lobby and entry
rooms.
Recreational uses are abundant with a lake stocked with
fish, a white sand beach area at the lake, a large swimming
pool (built in the 1910's and modeled after the Hearst
Castle pool), a creek which channels 140 degree mineral
spring water from wells deep within the earth through
a series of water cascades |

and pools to the lake, tennis courts staffed by Christian tennis
professionals, a large playing field for soccer, baseball
and football, a sand volley ball court, large spa seating
approximately 70 guests fed by the hot mineral water for which
the Murrieta valley and resort were named.
